The Hatteras is constructed on a modified-V hull with balsa coring in the hull sides and moderate transom deadrise. Aside from her stylish lines, the Hatteras 38 features a glassed-in front windshield and a luxurious two-stateroom teak interior layout with the galley in the salon.
